Adele my new favorite

SO,
I fully admit that I am a fan of So you think you can dance. It was my first season watching and... well, I got sucked in.

THe best thing that came out of my newest obsession was that I discovered a new music artist from one of the dances. Her music has totally left me awe-struck. Her name is Adele and she is only 19, but man what a voice! THis girl can bring the house down.

I have been so happy the past couple of weeks listening to nothing, but her debut album 19. I wanted to see her when she came on tour to the states (SHe is a UK native), but I just read a blurb about her tour being cancelled because of family problems they've been having. Bummer for her. I wish her well. Well enough to tour again soon! I'd love to hear her live.

I'd love it if you all took a listen. Go to her myspace and listen to clips. You won't regret it! http://www.myspace.com/adelelondon

The Wonderful World of Etsy!

Hey everyone! So Not sure if you all know, but I've started my own indie craft fair called the Handmade Brigade. I've been scouring Etsy to see if there's any talent out there that may have not heard about the show. In doing so, I have found so many wonderful Etsians that I would love to feature a couple here on my blog:

First is Quiet Doing.

This shop rocks it out with their awesome wallets, pouches, pins and keychains. From a wallet featuring turntables to felt pins that look like cassettes, Quiet Doing has the creativity to turn life into accessories. Look at the milk crate print on their pouch! I'm In love. Check them out for sure when you are in need of a gift for a friend or for yourself!

This Shop has it ALL! WEll, it at least has really cute panties! THese pictures are just a fewof the wonderfully cute panties this shop has to offer! All styles are available in any size. THey are custom made to order. Super cute and a really great deal! I always love to give panties to a friend when I don't know what else to get her. Bottom line, everyone can always use them and who doesn't like to fell pretty even when their down to their draws! Give this shop a visit, see what else she's got!

well, lets snack

SO, first time blogging. My goal is to blog twice a week to feature something I find really great in the handmade world.

FOr the first blog, I thought I would tell everyone a little bit about myself. My name is Nina. I love crafting which is why I think I have been working in the crafting industry for over 7 years now. I work at The Tall Mouse arts and crafts store in Southern Cali. and I love everything handmade!

I also run my own indie craft show that goes on twice a year. Its called the Handmade Brigade and I love it! Just started it, but I know I will be doing it for a long time to come. I love bringing all these people together that are so like me!

I also have a Jewelry line called... Tacos 'n' Eggrolls. I play with everything. Nothing is "Normal" everything is completely from my imagination and I try to use as much creativity as I can. Some might say I march to the beat of my own drum, but I know there's a whole lot of people out there marching with me! SO here's a few pics of what I do.

Feel free t check me out on etsy ( http://www.tacosneggrolls.etsy.com/ ) and on flickr @ http://www.flickr.com/photos/tacosneggrolls/

Bye until tomorrow!
